Buffalo Divorce Lawyer Discusses Payments for Extracurricular Activities with Child Support
As an experienced Buffalo Divorce Lawyer, I am often asked by clients about payments for extracurricular activities with child support. One of the questions that comes up a lot in preparing a property settlement, separation agreement, or even negotiating child support in context with divorce, are the extracurricular activities that the child or the children may be involved in.
For the most part, those activities are considered to be part and parcel with the child support. There are exceptions however. An example would be if the child is involved in soccer and there are away games, there may be some additional expenses.
As a Buffalo Divorce Lawyer, I say those things need to be taken into account and considered at the onset of your negotiations. Once an agreement is entered into, and those things are left out, you’re not going to be able to change that ordinarily.
